Air Travel
The international
airport Strasbourg Entzheim (http://www.strasbourg.aeroport.fr) has regular flights
arriving from many European destinations. The airport is about 15 mins by taxi
from the center of Strasbourg (approximate cost is about 45 euros). Via public
transportation, attendees arriving at the airport can take the shuttle bus to the tram stop
"Baggersee". The shuttle bus leaves every 20 minutes from arrivals
terminal and takes 12 mns to "Baggersee", where there is a connection
to tram line A to downtown.
If no direct flight to Strasbourg is available, flights to Paris (France) or Frankfurt
(Germany) are possible. The Paris airports (Charles de Gaulle and Orly) are
connected to Strasbourg Airport (Entzheim) by frequent national flights (Air
France, 1 hour flight time).
Frankfurt Airport (http://www.airportcity-frankfurt.de)
is connected to Strasbourg by the Lufthansa Airport Shuttle (http://www.lufthansa-airportbus.com/strecken_strasbourg.html)
which will stop at the Strasbourg Railway Station (Gare Centrale) from where
the attendee can easily get to their downtown hotel. The bus trip take about three hours.
By train
There are regular trains between Paris (Gare de l'Est) and Strasbourg
(www.sncf.com), the trip takes 4-5
hours. Arriving at the railway station in Strasbourg ("Gare
Centrale") attendees can take the tram line
A direction "Illkirch Lixenbuhl" to arrive closer to the
center of town. Otherwise, it's
about a 15 minute walk from the train station to that part of the town center
where most hotels are located.
Visa
Visas are generally not required if participants
come from countries having a visa-free agreement with France (you can check in

If you need a visa to enter France, the Local
Organizing Committee can send you an official letter confirming your
participation.
Insurance
Participants are advised to arrange health and travel insurances and
whatever insurance they consider necessary prior to departure. The registration
fees do not include provision for any insurance. Neither organizing
institutions nor their representatives assume responsibility or liability for
personal accident and loss or damage to belongings however caused.
The conference site:
The conferences will take place in the Atrium on the main campus of Louis Pasteur University. From downtown, you can take the Tram line C, direction "Esplanade", which can be boarded at the Homme de Fer stop at Place Kleber, among others. Leave the tram at stop Universities or at the end of the Tram line at "Rond-Point de l'Esplanade". From either stop, it is a short walk to the conference site.
Walking from Centre Ville (Town Center) will take 10-20 mns, depending
on your hotel.
